Join MVMA for a creative exploration of preventing burnout for volunteers (and the staff who work with them)! Following a brief networking breakfast, attendees will have the option to participate in stations designed to help them gather ideas to re-energize their volunteers, staff, and selves. Interactive stations will include:
Creation Station – make a “brain break” kit, with ideas for quick activities that can help refresh your mind and re-center you in times of stress
Duo Support Dogs – explore the ways in which pet therapy can help reduce stress for your volunteers, staff, and clients (this station will be in a separate room in consideration of allergies/dog phobias)
Anti-burnout Brainstorming – brainstorm ideas for preventing volunteer/staff burnout with colleagues and an experienced Employee Assistance Program professional
Relaxation Station – explore activities to help you reduce stress and improve well being
Solution Station – confidentially share your most difficult burnout challenges with MVMA Board members and explore possible solutions together
Complimentary parking is available in the large parking lot next to the building.
Breakfast will be provided. To ensure we have enough food and beverage, please register for this meeting by Sunday, April 14.
