About the Speaker:
Julie Strassman is the Manager of Support Services for Bethesda Hospice Care, overseeing the programs for volunteer support, spiritual care, social services, bereavement, and veterans’ services. She has over a decade of experience in volunteer coordination and is also an experienced grief care specialist. She received her Doctorate of Ministry in 2022 and is a frequent presenter on volunteer management, spiritual care, and bereavement care. Julie has most recently presented for the Network for Strong Communities, the Missouri League of Nursing, the Missouri Association for Assisted Living, and the 2023 Midwest Regional Conference on Palliative & End of Life Care. She is a former MVMA board member and the recipient of MVMA’s 2019 Volunteer Coordinator of the Year award. She is excited to reconnect with MVMA and share her expertise in volunteer coordination and care.
